Don't Forget Easter Egg hunts are NOT for dogs!!

Dogs who find chocolate eggs hidden in the yard can become very, very sick and sometimes even die!!!! If you are planning an Easter egg hunt don't hide chocolate eggs, hide things like big colorful plastic chips or tiddly winks that are redeemable for Easter eggs!!!!

Good advice even if you don't have pets.

Putting your chocolate eggs into those colourful re-usable plastic eggs you can get at any dollar store is smart for alot of reasons. They keep the dirt and the rain off the candy and out of your children's mouths. Yuck, learned that the hard way. And if you're doing an indoor hunt, saves you trying to get the melted, ground-in chocolate eggs off the underside of the couch cushions in July! Yep, learned that one the hard way too. And if your kids are like mine, they can recreate the hunt for one another over and over for each other with the plastic eggs even once the chocolate inside has been gobbled up. Who would have known? That's right, not me.....

Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!
