The Olympics are just around the corner and I was wondering how everbody feels about that? Are you excited? Annoyed? Is this a good thing ? A bad thing? What is the vibe amongst Mom's? Are you going to any events? What has the schools told your kids? Are your kids excited?
thank god I don't travel for work and have to be patted down or checked out by some airport employee who can now look right through my clothes with the full body scanners being installed. this is where fear takes us. less privacy. less human dignity. more fear.
Here in our corner of the world it is now against the law to be using your hands for driving and managing your technical gadgets - cellphones, ipods, computers, video cameras, tivo, etc. unless of course you can do it hands-free. The issue is one of distractibility. It's a fair law but I'm not so sure it's going to completely solve the problem.
