Whatever your feelings surrounding the Gosselin family of Jon & Kate plus 8 on TLC and all the recent media attention and gossip, motherhood is getting more time in the spotlight.  Supposedly Kate is putting together a talk show - like "The View" in format - with a group of other moms in the media - Lee Woodruff, Rene Syler and Paula Deen.

What I think is interesting is that it seems moms are in a new place again. Each decade finds society looking at moms in a new light. 50s moms were at home and supported in their role there. 60s moms claimed space for the rise of 70s women abandoning their station. 80s moms pushed at work and didn't mention home. The 90s moms fought for work and home. Now in the 2000s moms are making home their work in business.
