Okay I'm going to say it out loud - I watched all of Idol this season and my all time favorite moment was in the finale when Lionel Ritchie sang with Danny Gokey and he sang a song I'd never heard before but it caught my attention. If anyone knows the name of the song, please let me know. It wasn't the tune or the singing that had me all alert. It was the words! They were singing about how they'd take away my stress, do the dishes, let me relax!!! They said I deserved it and didn't have to worry for a while. At least that was the sentiment. And yes, I believe they were singing to me. These were words that felt like gifts from the gods. I've been waiting my whole life to hear someone say such things to me! Maybe I imagined it all. I asked my husband if he was paying attention and of course he wasn't! My daughter was and she laughed at me probably for looking so wisful. Seriously, if any of you have the Youtube link, send it my way. I'm going to play that song over and over - while my husband sleeps - does that even work?
