I know. I know. I'm little. I'm new. I'm cute. I'm a big attraction and a lot of work. Can't help it. Until I can get on my feet and get my own place, that's just the way it is. Which is why I don't get why my mom doesn't automatically get a lot more help. Seriously, all those parties, the showers, the gifts!
I recently came across an article in the news paper titled Why aren't women happy? I was immediatly drawn to this article because upon self eveluation at that exact moment I decided that I was not happy! I was not depressed, just not happy. The article was full of data and impressive opinions but was basically gibberish and I was no more happy when I finished it.
I haven't met a mom yet that couldn't use some extra help. Even the big O herself has made the claim that every mom needs a wife, which considering Oprah is neither a mom nor a wife, speaks to the need. The problem is, all the good ones are taken! Actually the people most qualified for such a job are themselves the ones who need the help.
Share tidbits of advice your mother gave you like "Don't run with scissors", "Keep your hands to yourself", "Money doesn't grow on trees", "Don't leave the door open, we are not heating the neighbourhood!"....Add Yours to the List!
I think, No I know that one of the saddest moments in a friendship is having to stand back and watch a friend go through something that is truly painful.
